Top 5 Videos Businesses Should Make

Video content is one of the most heavily consumed content on the internet today.

You are probably no stranger to stumbling upon one funny video after another, only snapping out of the rabbit hole after losing a few hours.

Statistically, very few other forms of content even come close to video content.

Over 86% of businesses use video as a marketing tool. This alone shows how much businesses believe in video marketing.

A lot of businesses put out a lot of video content and get disappointing results.

You quickly learn that one doesn’t merely create any random video. Then post it and hope to get exponential results in their business.

One needs strategy and direction. This, we shall provide in this article.

In this article, we will explain 5 of the best videos you absolutely MUST make. That is if you want your business to get the most out of video marketing.

1. Product explaining video

When a person visits your site for the first time, the first question they’re going to have is. “What do they do?”

You want to have the answer to this question ready. And what better way to share your product and assorted features than in a video.

In 2019, researchers found that users spent a weekly average of six hours and 48 minutes watching online videos. In fact, these stats show a 59 percent increase from 2016. This is enough proof to show the potential of videos for your marketing efforts.

When creating your product explainer video, you want to answer three major questions.

a) What is your product?

This is where you define your product and distinguish it from any other similar products.

b) What does it do?

Here, you address what your product will do for your clients. Basically, why they should care that the product even exists.

c) How do the customers get it?

After your customers know what your product is and why you need it, you can now tell them how to get a hold of it.

This should be one of your first, if not your very first videos for your product as a company.

You can make a product explainer video for every product you introduce.

2. Customer testimonial video

Customer testimonial videos are a massive tool for boosting sales.

The reason for this is two-fold. First, people generally trust information when they receive it from an unbiased third party. Second is that people find such information much more convincing when delivered in a video – where they can see and relate to the person delivering said information.

A good testimonial video is relatively easy to make when you have a good product.

All you have to do is talk to your customers that have had the best experience with your product. And ask them two simple questions.

One, what was your life like before you discovered our product? And two, how did it change when you started using the product.

They’ll take it from there.

Usually, when a person finds a product that works for them, they’ll want to convince others that it’ll work for them too.

3. Company story video

company story video

A company story video purposes to share your company’s journey with your customers.

People are always interested in knowing why you started this company. And people want to know why you chose this particular product.

The company story is an opportunity for you to share your vision with your consumers.

This video seeks to turn your customers from being users of your product into believers. In other words, believers in your brand and legacy.

Once you accomplish this, they’ll happily consume any and every other product you’ll introduce.

Your company story video should cover two major areas. How you started and why.

The customers want to know that you opened your company because you saw an opportunity. A chance to make a difference in their society and make their lives better using this product.

This video should ideally be made by the CEO or one of the founding executives.

4. Promotional video

Every once in a while, your customers will need a reminder why they should choose your product, especially over the myriad of similar products out there.

This is why you create a promotional video.

A promotional video intends to get your consumers to purchase a particular product.

A promotional video intends to catch people’s attention and draw them onto your page.

A good promotional video has two main qualities: appeal and purpose.

In your video, you have to make sure that your content is appealing to the viewer.

It has to make them want to watch to the end and learn more.

It must be visually and relevantly appealing.

Secondly, it has to have a purpose. Your video must culminate in a call to action of some sort.

People don’t care how appealing your promotional video looks but if it does not invoke an action from them, it’s a waste of both your time and their time.

5. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) video

Making a FAQs video is a great way to show your customers that you actually listen to them.

It will not only make your current users feel valued but also will go a long way to retain new users. This is mainly because Frequently Asked Questions (or FAQs) do not vary very much. Chances are pretty high that a visitor to your site is going to have many of the questions being asked in your FAQs.

At the very least, this video will give your site props for foresightedness and give you an authentic outlook.

This is a video your business can make routinely. For example, after every month, you can make a compilation of the top most FAQs. And have your marketing manager answer them in a video.

Regular videos keep your users and visitors engaged. You thus keep your business relevant to them.

Wrapping up

Videos are very effective ways to capture people’s attention.

People watch over a billion hours of videos on YouTube alone.

This can either work to your advantage or disadvantage.

It is up to you to find a way to best harness this gift of video tech to your business’s advantage.

We’ve shared with you some of the best ways to do this.

Over to you now.

This is the mere reason that’s why i ventured into vlogging as well! Because a higher percentage of people on the internet today prefers to watch videos than actually read an entire article about something they want to know. As a travel blogger, it’s very effective when I have a video linked on my blog post ’cause some people don’t really have the time and they engaged more on videos as what I’ve noticed. The video content goes on all startup business as well. It gives higher engagement rates. Hence, more leads and increase brand awareness.
